Hello, hello! How was your weekend? I hope you were able to stay warm and have some fun. We were staying at my parents’ house and have finally come home to begin reorganizing after our house had the wooden floors installation. It’s still so smelly for me to sleep in our bedroom just yet, but at least now I am home to be more settled. Living from a suitcase after a while is exhausting!
In case you haven’t noticed, Love Day is just around the corner. Before I continue, I understand that this is primarily a consumer holiday manufactured by corporate America to sell love, but, despite the synthetic nature of this “holiday”, I still dig it. I’m a sucker for anything that celebrates love. Every year, Mr. ShuGar and I exchange cards with personalized heart messages inside. I’ve kept them all. No big gifts needed; just a simple reminder that we cherish each other forever. Valentine’s Day is not just about romantic love either. It’s about celebrating all the love in your life, which includes family and friends.
