Hello to you all! Happy Monday. I apologize for my blogging absence , but last week was a bit hectic. Camdie has kept me quite busy and my baby sister got married, too. Regarding my little boy, it appears he is not a big napper, at least not on his own.  Also, I celebrated by 36th birthday yesterday. I don’t feel a day over 21 and so far my 30’s have been pretty darn fabulous.

For today’s inspiration, I present to you my obsession with minimalist film art. Since Mr. ShuGar and I are huge indie film lovers, I always enjoy discovering new movies that may not necessarily be blockbusters or for the masses. I appreciate when I stumble upon movie posters that are unconventional and simple in nature. One day when we have a bigger house, I’d like to have a gallery wall with rad unique movie posters from our favorite indie films. For the time being, these are some of the movie posters that have captured my attention. I enjoy discovering how creative artists can be when designing a movie poster which is supposed to entice the public.

Hello, sweet loves! This week’s All You Need is Love Project will be hosted by my sweet friend, Julie, from Home is Where the Heart Is. Hop on over to her lovely blog to talk about your heart and participate in the blog hop. I’ll be back next week to share my love with you all. Julie has a suggested topic for next week so make sure to check that out.

I’m very busy taking care of our little Camdie. Lately he’s been very sensitive and hasn’t allowed me to put him down much. It makes blogging very difficult these days. Plus, my sister is getting married tomorrow so I have lots of prep to do to participate in such a festive occasion. I plan on blogging all about what is going on with me next week. I hope to see you then!

Hugs to all!

P.S. Someone’s birthday is this Sunday and she’s turning 3-6!

Are you wanting to create a gallery wall in your house, but don’t know where to find gorgeous one-of-a-kind pieces that don’t cost you an arm and a leg? Well, today I have a special treat for you from one of my sponsors. Zakkiya Hamza is the owner of Inkstruck Studio, a rad design and art studio with lots of pretty things that would make your heart flutter. TODAY’S LOVE TOPIC:

Our monthly tradition of having a love free-for-all topic is next! Post anything your heart desires about love next week. The only requisite is that you share your love with the rest of us.

I forgot who told me this, but they mentioned that in life the only constant is change. I couldn’t agree more. I’ve never been adverse to change, but at times it can take time to adjust. With the birth of my newborn, I have begun to notice that my need for certain friendships has changed. I never would have thought this would happen, but it has.

Dear ShuGar Baby: Our Time

Camden-Sleeping-with-Mommy

Mommy’s Corner is a weekly series exploring our journey in becoming parents, our love for our ShuGar baby, and general topics related to mommyhood.

Dear Camden,

Have I told you how much I adore you? You and your daddy are my greatest gifts. I write you this letter so you can cherish a special time you and I had together from the moment you were born. For the past two and a half months, I have been home with you every second of every day. I have been blessed to care for you from the moment your eyes open to the second they are shut. But, now, this time will soon come to an end. Because of that, I want you to know how much I have cherished our time together.

Hello, dear ShuGar Loves! I hope you had a beautiful Father’s Day weekend. Mr. ShuGar and I spent a lovely time with our family and meeting up with friends. Everything is so much more fun with little Camdie with us.

Some of you may remember that back in the day pre-Camden I blogged about my photography journey and how I was taking a class to try to learn how to take proper photos. Well, since our little ShuGar Boy has been here, I haven’t really had the time to practice f stops, shutter speed, and ISOs, but it doesn’t mean I still don’t dream about it. In fact, I sometimes wonder how I would ever manage to take a real photo of Camden in manual mode when he is so figgidity and hard to get to stay still for that special “say cheese” moment. For now, the automatic setting on my Android will beyond suffice.

Nevertheless, I still very much love fantasizing about photography and the beauty of capturing that one glorious, unique photo using the right camera settings. Here are some black and white photos I’ve been mesmerized by. Black and white photography adds a certain je ne sais quoi to any photo, wouldn’t you agree?

Do any of these black and white pictures strike your fancy? What comes to mind when you see black and white photography?

TODAY’S LOVE TOPIC:

Father’s Day is upon us so let’s dedicate a day to honoring those daddy and daddy figures who have made a special impact in our lives. Who is a daddy you love and admire? What constitutes the definition of a dad? More and more research has proven the importance of a father figure in a child’s life. In your opinion, why is this so valuable? Let’s show our daddies some love!

Hello, sweet lovers! Today’s love day is an extra special day for our daddies. I’ve read countless articles about the importance of a father figure in a child’s life. I subconsciously always knew this to be the case, but it’s not until we had our little Camdelicious that I have seen firsthand what this actually means. But even before Mr. ShuGar or Camden came along, there was one man who I have always loved. The original love of my life: My Daddy.

Summer Lovin’

TODAY’S LOVE TOPIC:

Summer is almost here! What fun memories do you associate with summer? What do you love doing during this season? Do you have any fun summer plans? Share your summer heart with us.

Hello, sweet readers! Have I mentioned how much I love Thursdays? I love talking about love with you.

Summer is by far my favorite season. Maybe it’s because I was born in June or maybe it’s because L.A summers are the absolute best. There’s always something fun to do outside. I think now it’s one of the best seasons for me because we were married in the summer so I will forever equate this season with love.

This summer we have no huge traveling plans. However, we do have lots of social commitments with our family and friends visiting our Camden Boy, including some of Mr. ShuGar’s family. So excited to welcome them to our home and have them meet our love! My sis is also getting married this month so that’s kind of a big deal. I am so happy to celebrate my sis finding her true love. We also have some date nights planned, which I am anxiously awaiting as I feel we need more time with just the two of us. A marriage always needs nurturing.

When I think of summer, the following comes to mind:
