Spring is here! I will forever remember this spring as giving me the greatest gift, which of course is our ShuGar Baby. If I weren’t busy caring for Mister Camden, I would probably spend my weekends reorganizing our house and doing some major deep cleaning. Although it may be torturous for some, I actually really enjoy tidying up. For this spring, I have developed a strong appreciation for taking time to enjoy life. Moments you can spend with your loved ones are so precious. Why not put aside the chores and allot some hours/days to just live life?

I can’t say I thought of this concept all on my own. Mia from Shari’s Berries contacted me regarding her post about Spring Adventures. She has a proposition for all of us who would routinely begin to tackle spring cleaning in our households. Instead of “working” this spring, why not embark on some Spring Adventures instead?

If you are anything like me, spring means I will inevitably spend a considerable amount of time looking like this:

Spring Cleaning

Mia at Shari’s Berries is asking us to release the vacuum cleaner, put down the swiffer, lay down the mop, and instead get out and “live” this spring. I say…yes! Below is her proposal for her Spring Adventures suggestions. I love them all!

Spring Adventures

If I didn’t have ShuGar Boy to care for, I guarantee you I would do all of these in a heartbeat. L.A. is the perfect place to enjoy the spring breeze. However, I plan on venturing out with Camden Boy in the next few weeks and below are some of my spring adventure plans.

  • Once I have given my body significant amount of time to heal, I plan on going back to my cardio routine. I will be determined to get my body back post-baby. Once I do that, I will reward myself with a beautiful spring dress from Anthropologie. It will inspire me to work hard!
  • I have this idea of planting something in our backyard to symbolize the birth of our son. I’d like Camden to help us water his plant (which we will name after him) and we can enjoy its growth through the years as a symbol of his debut into our world. It will be a daily reminder of how blessed we are.
  • I haven’t been out food shopping in weeks as my mom has graciously taken on that household duty for us. When I do go back to food shopping, I want to continue to buy weekly blooms from Trader Joe’s. Seeing fresh flowers in my house makes me smile.
  • I vow to read one book for pleasure this year. I’ve been diligently reading all sorts of baby books for the past year, but I think this little mama needs to drown herself in a great story.
  • L.A. is the absolute best place for brunch. Once Camden Baby is more independent later this year, I will be brunching with my best gal pals to catch up with life in the outside. I can’t wait!
  • Finally, I am looking forward to Mister Camden going on bike rides with us to the beach. Mr. ShuGar and I did this every spring/summer and it’s so beautiful to feel the fresh breeze on your face as you ride alongside the ocean. I’d like to find a place where we can picnic all together. I dream about these moments with our newest addition so we can make new memories as a family of three.

Do you have any plans for a spring adventure? What would you fancy doing for your alternative spring break?

Happy Monday to all!
