The Big Push

Love-Button

Mommy’s Corner is a weekly series exploring our journey in becoming parents, our love for our ShuGar baby, and general topics related to mommyhood.

Alright ShuGar Loves – this is a tough post for me to write. Primarily, it’s challenging because it exposes one of my greatest fears out into the internet world, but it also feels good to put it out there. There might be other mamas-to-be who can relate.

ShuGar Boy is due to arrive in less than a month from now! Wow! I still can’t believe it. Although I am happy, excited, honored etc. for baby to arrive, I am also grappling with a big fear for the labor and delivery process. In my fantasy, all I would have to do to have a baby is press this little love button and….pouf….I have my baby boy in my arms.

So that’s not how it happens?

Happy Monday, friends! Don’t the weekends just fly by? I hope you had a good one. We had another busy and fun weekend as we spent Saturday taking photos for our maternity session with the amazingly talented Erin from Hello Pinecone. I cannot wait to share them with you!

What has been on my fashion mind these days? Well, baby clothes, of course. To be specific, I’ve been dreaming of boy fashion because I’ve never been charged with dressing up a boy….until now. We received so many cute outfits for our ShuGar Boy at our baby shower. I can’t wait to play dress up with him.

The pieces above are other items I’m coveting for our little man. They’re all so adorable! This shopping for baby boy is going to be hard to resist.

Wishing everyone a great, love-filled day!

A Week in the Life is a photo inspiration series to document every day moments in my ShuGar life.

Hello, all! It’s finally Friday! This weekend is extra special for us because we’ll be having our maternity photo session. We got rained out last week, so I’m happy ShuGar Boy decided to stay in my belly in time for our photo shoot. Can’t wait to share the photos with you in the weeks to come!

These series of photos are simply randomness of my every day life. Lots has been going, so I love to remind myself to look up and capture beauty all around me. Hope you like them!

Transitioning from Maternity to Non-Maternity Fashion

Hello, ShuGar Loves! How was your weekend? Ours was really, really productive. We continued our baby prep by organizing all the gifts we got from our baby shower (thank you to our dearest family + friends!) and then began to purchase the remaining items, including loads and loads of diapers! So excited because soon our ShuGar Boy will be here! Thank you to all who congratulated us on our shower via the blog and social media. You are all the sweetest ever!

I have been pondering today’s ShuGar Fix Mondays for quite some time now. It just goes to show you how much I die for fashion. I’ve tried to not go too crazy with all the maternity fashion as I logically know I will not be pregnant forever. Tell that to my fashion heart. However, I think some of my baby bump looks are transferrable post-baby. This outfit is an example of what I would like to wear after I give birth.
