Hello, hello! How was your weekend? I hope you were able to stay warm and have some fun. We were staying at my parents’ house and have finally come home to begin reorganizing after our house had the wooden floors installation. It’s still so smelly for me to sleep in our bedroom just yet, but at least now I am home to be more settled. Living from a suitcase after a while is exhausting!

In case you haven’t noticed, Love Day is just around the corner. Before I continue, I understand that this is primarily a consumer holiday manufactured by corporate America to sell love, but, despite the synthetic nature of this “holiday”, I still dig it. I’m a sucker for anything that celebrates love. Every year, Mr. ShuGar and I exchange cards with personalized heart messages inside. I’ve kept them all. No big gifts needed; just a simple reminder that we cherish each other forever. Valentine’s Day is not just about romantic love either. It’s about celebrating all the love in your life, which includes family and friends.

Above are some love cards I heart. Aren’t they so cute? I’d want them all; one for each year!

Which ones are your faves? How do you celebrate Valentine’s Day every year?

Happy Monday!

  • i always mean to decorate for valentine’s day and it kinda whizzes by me! hopefully this year i’ll get to bake some cookies and make a card and put some hearts up around the house 🙂

    • Ha! I know what you mean. It’s so close to Christmas and it kind of runs into the holiday. Your baking always looks so yummy. Lucky hubby! I think making cards is always sweet. You know me with hearts – the more the better! We have these cute heart pillows from our wedding that we have in our living room. Makes me smile every time. Hope you are well!

  • These are super cute!! I love #3 and #4. I still dont know what to do for Valentines day, any ideas?

    • Pretty choices! You and I are color lovers! To be honest, we haven’t even talked about it. I always like spending just a day together without any distractions. I wouldn’t mind going to a museum and exploring L.A. a bit. We usually like to end our night with a movie and I want to see Gravity so that might be our day. I love the part when we exchange cards, though. It’s a tradition! Best of luck planning heart day!

  • Love all of them! My favorite is #7 because I always enjoy fancy lettering and quotes. 🙂

    • That’s a gorgeous choice because fonts are so happy. I wish I knew how to do calligraphy. I hope you have a happy love day!

  • La Maman Heureuse

They are all cute, but my favourite is number 3, love the color combo, makes me all happy!

I used to be a hopeless romantic, but kinda gave up over the past few years. This year I decided to spread some love to my blogger friends. And I’ll be taking my little love for lunch and give her a little present. And that night I have my written exam for my social media class, so there’s not to much romance expected in that 🙂

    • That is my blog color combo and I am a big fan of that color usage! I think v-day can also be about spreading love to those you care about and I know we all love ya! You are the sweetest! My mom used to always give me cards so I think it’s wonderful that you are taking out your little one. She will cherish that forever! Best of luck on your test, friend! You will rock it!

  • Julie

    #3 is my favorite.

    • Great choice! I just heart cards so much!
